Hello!
My name is Lise Ridgway. If you're reading this you might be trying to find more info about what we're doing. The idea is a lot for me to explain. I made an info graphic to help. But, I think the best way to explain this is to tell you about Hazem.
In the spring of 2025 I started ASK PUNKS. My aim was to take care of others but mental anguish destroyed that dream. During this time I began a search for answers. After spending years watching genocide on Instagram I found myself searching to see if what I saw was real. By chance, I met Hazem, he was the first to speak with me. We got to know each other a bit and I met some of his other friends that were doing the same thing as me. At first I was hesitant when we spoke. I wanted to make sure he wasn't a scammer or something so I asked if we could have a video chat. He agreed.
Hazem, you are a wonderful young man. I'm so glad we met. I'm so glad I am no longer blind to what is happening. Some call it war. What I saw was genocide. From what I have learned of war as a human of the westernized world is that we fought for good. That we triumphed over evil. This is not true because what is happening in Palestine (and now Lebanon) has already and is still happening here in Canada. Genocide is normal for us so I apologize for not seeing it sooner. Our world leaders are failing us.
People in this world are choosing to be evil. I refuse this tactic of existence.
Alec Muir and I are dedicating our time and energy to you, Hazem. As your friends we will do whatever we can to show our support. We will not forget about you. I will fight to the death for you.
